Rare and special track day. MONDO Track, 2 ISFS , and a 2017 Acura NSX
Today was a great day ! It was in fact , as the title states, a rare and special track event today. And for multiple reasons. Got to run a course called " MONDO". This course is half Wild Horse Pass Main track and half Bondurant racing school track combined to make one massive track .!The stars have only aligned 3 times in 5 years to put this configuration together. I also got to meet up with another CL member ( can't remember screen name but we will call him
"Mr. Z") with a gorgeous black 2011 ISF . Not only was it great to hang with another F owner on a rare track day ( and with a guy who knows how to drive ),BUT I also had a chance to hit the track with a new 2017 Acura NSX in our group. He was obviously much faster but it was great to try to keep up. Just wanted to share some of the video and pics from today
Please don't mind the cussing. I was heading towards an apex at 82 mph only to look over and see the hood of a white Vette at my passenger door. This idiot almost caused both of us to crash. Mr Z saw the entire thing. We both went off for a second.

Curious what camera did you use to capture these photos?

You didn't do too bad against the NSX! Bet he was a bit surprised (or embarrassed) that he could get rid of you!
Thanks for the vids!

Man, that guy was a F#$%^ moron !!!!!! That was the closest accident I have ever had on a track EVER !! I was set up to the far left to shoot for the correct line and steer to the right and this idiot wants to pass me literally at the clipping point like its a race. That straight was pretty short. He should have waited to pass after the long series of S's, kind of like how I passed the NSX. There was tons of room at the loop and then you have a massive straight. I was going to say something not so nice to him, but when I pulled up he was a much older gentlemen who looked at me bowed his head and put his hand over his heart like, SOOOO sorry man ! I immediately calmed down. I think the bottom line is everyone was dying to either pass the NSX, get it in their video, or both. I just wanted to see if I could keep up. The Vete wanted to pass the NSX ,and it did.....easily.

Great shots and video, my friend! The course layout looks like a heap of fun with a good combination of straights and some high speed turns. But damn...after seeing what that Corvette did, I'm glad you were able to hold it together the way you did. I wouldn't be surprised if he actually gets into an accident on the roads if he continues to drive the way he does on the track.

My pleasure buddy. Congrats on the beautiful GSF btw. Many happy miles to you man
Thanks ! You should try it. The F is built for it. Remeber I am totally stock suspension and brakes minus a rear F sport sway bar and USRS bushing
You must be Jonesing lol. I would love to check out Big Willow ! Im getting tired of the AZ tracks a little
Yeah he was pretty aggressive. He was way fast and we knew it but DAMN....just wait for it to be safe. We all love our cars out there and he needs to be safe. They never seem to catch people when they do stupid stuff like that . Pretty sure he was dying to catch up to the NSX
