As the title states, which is the louder exhaust Joe Z or Magnaflow? I tried searching but came up empty I have the Joe Z now but I'm not really digging the stacked exhaust diffusers. I like the RR racing Magnaflow mufflers, but don't really want it to be much louder.
ISS Forged QES....my setup At the drag strip ISS Forged DES
I would say the RR Racing Magnaflow mufflers would be your best bet. I have the ISS Forged QES setup and it's louder than the DES. As you can see even ISS Forged went the Magnaflow route back in the day.
I think regardless of which is louder the JZ sounds better to my ears . I have a couple friends with new V8 GTs and they drool over my exhaust. They both have told me it sounds exotic
Gearbangin how long does it take for you to change your mufflers. I have borla now but wonder if it's much trouble to change the mufflers to the bazookas. Do you need a lift or jack the rear up and loosen a lot of the clamps to change?

The Borla rear section can be swapped out pretty easily with the rear end on jack stands or ramps. I think the majority of the effort would be removing/installing the OEM tips.

I wanted to give Joe Z my money but I wanted to get rid of the stock diffusers. I agree, Joe Z nailed it in the harmonic sound dept. Mine is definitely not tame but compared to these drag cars I been around lately, it sounds stock...lol. As a matter of fact I can't hear it on the strip. RR Racing changed my mind on the Borla system too. What they've done is awesome. I love Larry's Bazooka setup. Here's a sound clip of mine...

Yeah I feel you on that. Those are the items I don't have yet. With the Sikkys coming out without the need to remove the studs is a huge plus: waiting for them to release soon. The tune device and the tuned intake and bazooka are in my cart right now on RR's site!
