Default Questions on BC coilovers/rubbing

So its finally time to replace shocks, one of them finally bit the dust - did more hunting in the cars records and it turns out they are the original ones from when the car was brand new Going to order some BC coils and was wondering if anybody had rubbing with 245/35/-275/30 tire setup on stock 08 wheels, wasn't able to find any threads on if it rubbed. Also thinking of putting on some 15mm HR spacers as well if they won't rub, any input on this setup? Hoping I don't have to roll fenders and wanted to know before i decided on spacers or not.

Exact set-up I had, with no rubbing at all at factory height. Not sure if the 15mm spacers will change that scenario.

It should be fine unless the offsets on '08 wheels are more aggressive than mine.. I'm lowered, and have 255/275 tires on '12 wheels with 15mm H&R spacers.. The only time the front tires rub is when turning the wheel in reverse, or when the suspension is fully compressed by a large bump or dip in the road. Pretty sure the rear tires never rub..

Awesome, thanks mike, I think the '12 wheels have higher offsets then the 08s but I'll check. I know you track your car and If you have no issues then mine should be fine.

With that setup you will not have rubbing issues with the BC Racing

I have the same setup but 2011 wheels (same spec as 2008) - this is about as low as I can go without fender mods - mine would rub the fender liner in front if I got any lower. Running BC coils on 245/275 with 15mm HR spacers.

I'm on 245/35 and 285/30, BC coilovers with the Swift upgrade to 16k/12k. The only rubbing I get is if I'm going around a turn real hard/fast and there's a bump mid turn, I hear my wheel rub into my fender well for that split second. Besides that, no rubbing what so ever, even when its loaded down with my wife and kids in the car.

This was the height I originally dialed in, and it rubbed.

Wow that looks a lot lower than I expected, looks great. Is that really the 1/.6 drop from BCs?

And also thanks for the info everybody, its really helpful.

do you have camber or toe mods at this height? How does your alignment look? Your height looks perfect for what I would like to do.

No camber or toe mods, I am running Figs LCA bushings tho.

Camber is way off on all 4 corners - but I think it is less than - 3 degrees. That is not enough to affect tire wear. Toe is aligned to 0 degrees all around to eliminate/minimize tire wear issues.

Here is another angle..
