I know transmissions are complicated, and I know very little about them, pretty much just the basics. Trying to understand the long post about the transmissions almost gave me a migraine

fwiw a fellow with an M3 approached me at a local CnC meet saying since his warranty is about to be up he is looking to sell and get into an ISF so he had several questions and left overall pleased with my answers.

Even more painful than the transmission analysis section was how many times our own F supporter typed "there" instead of "their"!

I associate BMW fanboyism with BMW insecurity

Smh...it's endless with the german fans. I love the exclusivity of our cars! They're NOT a dime a dozen and certainly not spotted in every corner. Thats enough for me.

I love BMW's which is why I'm on both forums. As a car enthusiast I appreciate many types, helps keep an open mind, there's rarely one completely better than another. E92 M3 is actually in my top 5 favorites. But even I can admit I didn't wanna deal with the rod bearing issue or higher cost of ownership with a car I daily and commute with.

We can be just as hard headed about lexus as they are about BMW. Can't we all be friends hahaha.

^^^^^^^....I. Completely agreee. Im just not a fan of the trash talking. I have a friend with an SS Camaro and another with a 330i making over 450whp. They don't trash talk at all, they're genuine enthusiast like I am. I wish more were the same.

That would be me, I started this thread on M3post and few others. I have friends with M3's that have been inquiring about capabilities of ISF if anything new had been developed. So I started to separate treads one discussing tune and Recently S/C. For the most part most of M3 owners responses were postive. The amount of misinformation regarding ISF was pretty high but THIER were few true Enthusiast that we're knowledgeable regarding the capabilities of ISF. Many were surprised that with just I/H/E ISF could produce 400hp and with Tune and new intake MAF between 420hp 430hp.

Of course THEIR were a few fanboys quoting information from 8 years ago aka top gear, blah blah old YouTube video's from yrs ago, bench racing. How it lacked manuel trans that tranny was slow shifting tq conveter auto tranny. I pointed out that 90% of M3 used DCT trans and that it is in fact auto trans as well if aint got three pedals then its auto. Actually it was several M3 owners that straight out some of fanboys

We talked about not just the development of the tune and supercharger but suspension components from Penske, Ohlins and Figs, about RR Racing. How more companies are now further developing the Platform. How we started with just 2 choices for exhaust system to now well over 10 companies from one choice of headers to several how even header development has come long way with EL headers now available, new designs from Sikky and PPE.

M3's claim to fame was that of track king, but ISF became known as Highway beast but now ISF is showing its prowess as track car as well. I member of several different car forums. I've owned American Muscle in 80''s to late 90's then did JDM thing in late 90's early 2000's sport bikes, crusers moved onto luxury sport sedan BMW and Lexus. I love all things automotive.

Thank you weapon F! Thank you for taking the time and effort and educating those folks as well. Here's an old press release if you'd cared to share with them as well. I think it's a more friendly read and doesn't include al the technicalities.
