Transmission not up shifting in 1st or 2nd under WOT?
As the title says, this has happened twice in the last month. I have a MY '12 with 59,000 miles and it has always been maintained by Lexus. It only happens when I'm in sport mode and will hang in first or second gear until I release the throttle and take it out of sport mode.
Anyone experienced this and know if it's a simple fix? I'm still under warranty, hopefully it'll be covered!

Your transmission fluid level is low. This is a common problem when the level is low.

I'd go with topping up. lobuxracer has a firm position on oil analysis so unless you've sampled your oil there's no way to know if it needs changing.
definitely have the dealer take care of this under warranty.

To be honest I didn't pay attention to the rpm, all I can tell you is that the engine was screaming until I let off the gas through fear of doing damage. I'll try and replicate it on the way home tonight and give you more info.

As Lobuxracer mentioned, probably low trans oil.

I speak from direct experience with the exact same symptoms. You need to add fluid, no if's, ands, or buts about it. The car needs to sit overnight to cool, then the level set according to the instructions in the Mother of all changing ATF thread's post 99.

Mine was flaring and holding gears . Had the complete drain and fill and the car feels great. Flares may occur 5-10%of the frequency they used to occur. Well worth the money . Considering the ISF CCSR uses the exact same tranny I think it's chance in hell these units will go .
