Lexus isf vs Infiniti q70s

Yes, I agree. I wouldn't say they're competitors. The Infiniti Q seems to be going head to head with the likes of the GS350, Audi A6, and even BMW 535i. That being said, the 5.6L option is pretty peppy, despite it being even more front heavy than the IS F. When I drove my friend's, it was decently fast; certainly didn't wow me as much as the stock F did from a dig. The tech is clearly in the Infiniti's favor, given that it's a good 7-8 years more advanced. Similar specs between the two vehicles, but weight and handling are clearly in the IS F's favor. What I really had my eyes on were the prototype of the Eau Rogue, but this would be a pretty solid option for someone who was looking at Infiniti's best performance option engine-wise.

Maybe you meant to say the Q50? I drove the new Q50 twin turbo with 400hp..... I liked the interior, exterior..... I was pretty quick, however, they didn't really do anything handling/brake wise to differentiate it from the lower models, and IMO it really needs it. Non existent exhaust note as well, it was just 8/10's of the IS-F performance wise.
Now, once the aftermarket picks up and prices dropped on used ones, I'll pick one up, lower it, wheels, bolt ons, and I'm sure it will make 500+ whp/awhp with a good tune. Should be a good 10 second DD.

I think the case is compelling especially when you consider than the motor in the Infiniti will make so much more power with a tune . Nissan ECUs have been crack able for years . My 03 G35 was one of the first in the country with a Technosquare tune . The handling will not be there when compared to the ISF . Also that weird steering in the Infiniti may turn people off

Not a fan of he q70 but, as others mentioned, the newer q50 and q60 with the 400hp TT V6 have some appeal. I like the styling particularly the q50, even if it hasn't really been updated, and I'm sure options for modding and low-cost tuning will be plentiful for those interested. Hopefully that engine makes it into the Z next.

One of the things that makes the F interesting is how much faster it both feels and "is" vs. other cars with higher or evenly rated HP on paper. It's almost like everyone one of our horses counts as 1.3 HP. Particularly against Infinitis, Jags & Fords. Anyone else feel this way? Like the Toyota horse is just more formidable?

Also when you add Inifiniti's **** quality and repeated problems Id stick with the ISF even if it was slower. My G35 was as bad as an american car. Never left me stranded but it was constantly at the dealer for little things. Constantly . I used to clown Lexus until I owned an Infiniti. Went from an 03 G35 to a new 07 GS350 and never looked back
