headlights moisture

Just throwing this out there.
Happened alot in my honda days. What I would do is stake headlight assembly out put whole assembly in oven for about 15 minutes on 250 degrees. This melts the glue that attaches the clear plastic to rest of headlight assembly. Pull headlight out pull apart and clean all weather glue off. Then replace and stick back together.
We used to do this alot when paint and blacking out the headlights. Below is an example. I just grabbed the first one. You will need to take out hid ballasts and bulbs. Just fyi I did this in my is300.

There are instances where if the front bumper hits the ground hard enough, from a pothole, etc that it will push the headlights up and possibly break tabs. Also from what i read, the headlights are prone to moisture due to the original glue not being sufficient. Take em out and reseal unless you can find cracks.

Hey guys, usually if all the covers are properly sealed and there are no known cracks or holes in the headlights, its usually a headlight lens seal failure. We get headlights with water seepage all the time, and once we take them apart, we literally find where the exact part of the headlight seal the water gets in. The only way to repair it if it keeps coming back after drying it is really to replace the glue/sealant around the lens.
We recently worked on an ISF headlights, please check our work and promos going in on. Thank you!

Bake the headlight in the oven...there is a thread here on how to do it. I had passenger headlight replaced after two years owning the car, then warranty crapped out and same condensation occured in my new headlight. Followed the link I posted, ended up blacking out the shrouds too...and never ever had another issue since (been two years). Best thing to do than dish out $1200 on a new headlight. Putting new black butyl rubber glue in works like a charm
