Intakes
As a new ISF owner I am loving the car, but an starting to get the mod bug. But due to budget constraints am only looking at an intake at the moment (eying that JoeZ Exhaust though!) From what I've read in some of the posts on here about intakes it seems that they all rob power from the car due to heat soak. Is there any intakes that are out now that are worthwhile getting?
Thanks in advanced,
CK

Wow! Thanks for the response. Didn't realize how close the Headers were to the Exhausts in price. Well then I'm looking at the PPE headers now haha.

I would get intake & header first. PPE header or Sikky added about 30 hp. For intake I like HPS.

Can't say I noticed it on mine?
Then again, I went from the Takeda to the HPS and performance dry panel filter, so big noise difference.
Also found close to 10HP and ironed out an issue with my AFR readings.
Have a read through the build threads when you have some free time. Lots of experiences and good advice in there.
My favourite intake option is the titanium one from LEMS.
Only thing is its $600 or so!
Best of luck with your mods chap.
Cheers.

I thought i read that Intakes don't really "add" power to these cars and the factory setup was actually engineered very well. Is this not true?
I even saw a dyno graph somewhere where the stock outperformed 2 of the 3 aftermarket intakes installed..

From what I've read, if you want sustainable power get the JoeZ, HPS, or stick with the OEM. I just want to find out the differences in noise between the Injen and Takeda. Found a video of a stock ISF with a Injen but can't find one with a stock ISF with Takeda. I think I'll end up getting the Injen or the HPS with the Toms Filter.
