Good lord that was the first thing I noticed about this car. 255s at the *** end with 370 torques? Seriously under-tired from the factory.

I am wondering if wider tires will be better for grip and wear. The narrow tires will heat up faster. Kind of like smaller rotors. I am assuming that some 295's out back will keep the performance more consistent and will allow the tire to run on the track at 8/10th of its total grip ability as opposed to 11/10th with those ***** *** 255's


If not.......they will still look amazing !! I got my exhaust because I wanted the F to sound like she goes. Now I want wide tires because I want her to look like she goes !!!

Bringing a thread back to life! My MPSS are about done, currently on 2008 OEM sizes. Was wondering what would be the best set-up for these tires. I see the 245/35F, 285/30R have been mentioned. Just wanted to make sure I get a proven size!

On stock wheels from 2008-2011. 245/35 Front and 275/30 Rear. Correct me if I'm wrong but Michellin Pilot Super Sports are not made in the 285 size. Countless threads with the 275 rear setup and its success. I believe Lou did the 285 rear setup on a Bridgestone setup with much success as well.

Don't go more then 275. It would be too wide for 9" rim

^^^^Though some members have complained about them, the 245/35, 285/30 Bridgestone S-04 combo worked for me when I had stock wheels. A local friend of mine is still running them on his ISF as well as some members here. All I can say is that they worked quite well for me.

But, wider wheels and wider tires are really the way to go on any ISF. IMHO, the stock ISF is under wheeled and under tired. Wheels were widened by ½" in 2012, but tires were left the same size
