I'm looking to tint my F and was wondering what you guys would recommend?
Hello F'amily!
I just picked up this F about 20 days ago and had been busy working too much to really 'enjoy' her or even mod her. To start off, I am not even sure if the windows on the car is tinted or not from the previous owner (he said it was factory tint) but he wasn't entirely sure as well. Now my question is because I live in Arizona where the heat can get up to 120 degrees during the summer (117 for the past few days ), what brand of tint is optimal for the car as far as cooling goes and aesthetics (preferably darker, but not limo tint status)? I think I'm going to do 35% tint all around. I have been doing some research lately and it seems some of the best tint brands are 3M Crystalline, 3M Color Stable, and Huper Optik. Unforunately 3M Crystalline only goes down to 40% max from what I have researched so far. So I guess it really boils down to 3M Color Stable or Huper Optik for superior heat rejection and cosmetically more appealing. If you guys could show me what your car looks like and what brand you guys use that would be much appreciated!
P.S. If any of you live in AZ that would recommend a good shop to do tints, let me know! Thanks!

I bought my car from AZ with 20% on the rear windows / driver / passenger windows and 35% on the windshield. Yea, the windshield. You can get away with that crap in AZ and I HIGHLY recommend it!
I've had 35% on the driver / passenger windows and a double layer of 5% / 20% on everything in the rear before on my Subarus. That was nice but this setup is amazing! It's SUPER dark inside the car, keeps it cool, and I can still see out great. Can take pics if you want but it doesn't do it as much justice as in person.

Here is mine. 20% all around. Also the front is tinted 50%. The car was tinted when I bought it. I don't like doing anything darker as cops are aholes around here and will yank you for it. This is first car that I have had with front window. Its awesome, you cant tell seeing out, but you can tell looking at car. Also makes less light coming in and rest of windows look darker.
I love the 5% but be prepared for cops. I don't like being scared if I have a few beers (not wasted) and have to worry about a cop pulling me over for tint.
I will take a better pic tomorrow when I get home so you can see.
Oh I just always go with the local shop that I have been dealing with for years. They have done about 10-12 of my cars. Not sure what they use. think its 3m.

Usually stick with 3m. Great products, never fade or bubble up. If I'm not mistaken if the tint laws are the same in az, 5% on the rear and 35% on driver and passenger are legal and plenty dark. 20% all around is a good median between dark and enough to not get pulled over. If you see a cop just slide the sunroof cover open to bring in some light. As far as windsheild... asking for trouble quick. Wouldn't go anything darker than 50% , seeing at night can be dangerous. Any light inside the car makes for a nasty relection.
