Question Anyone ever used castrol magnatec oil?

My car was due for an oil change so i went to my closest autozone and found castrol magnatec 5w-30 oil. There doesn't seem to be much info on the internet besides reading the manufacturer info and the youtube video of it. I purchased it and did the oil change. From what i've noticed, the car seems to idle smoother. Performance wise, the kick is still there. Has anyone ever used this type of oil in their vehicles? Especially for the ISF? I would love to hear more input from this type of oil.

this oil will give you the placebo effect that your cold starts isn't wearing you engine as much =)

I used Castrol syntech 5W-30 a few times and wasn't impressed with it, not a bad oil though.

Want some good oil? Redline 5W-30. You'll never look back.

Lol. I really need to try that. I hear about it all the time so on my next oil change, i'll do it. But so far with 70 miles on castrol magnatec, its hold up pretty well. It "feels" more responsive. So far, i'm liking it.

How does any oil make your car feel more responsive !!! if you can feel the difference between oils and the responsiveness of your engine I would love for you to describe it to me.

Amsoil, Redline, Royal Purple are the three top synthetic oils, IMO.

Oil can change the behavior of the engine, especially if your oil is long over due. Changing the oil, i've noticed there doesn't seem to be much hesitation anymore. It could all in my head but i definitely felt better response.

I'm trying to read between the lines to see why you find Castrol Magnatec a sort of exception, as it is well-known in Australia, South Africa etc. and very popular. Is it "new" in the US?

I'd use Castrol Edge if you have it there. It's all I use in AU in my performance cars.

To be honest, i never really noticed it until i walked in my local autozone and saw their oil change special. I did a quick search on my phone and couldn't find much info on it. I've used castrol before and i do like their products so i decided to try the castrol magnatec. For me, magnatec is something new i've recently just noticed.

Usually stick with Mobile 1 Full synthetic on all my vehicles. Next oil change i'll be trying out the royal purple. As far as different oils you can tell a difference especially when you daily drive a car and are completely in tune with it. I once did pennzoil in my honda civic and felt like the parking brake was lightly set after the change. Went back to mobile one and the civic ran very well.
