New Wheels PF01 18x9.5 w/ Pictures
#18
For anybody wondering I am happy to say you can definitely go wider in front than 265/35R18 with no rubbing. Proper offset is key though as well as tire height. Like the Op, I too have Enkei PF01s all around 18x9.5 +45. I mounted (wider than their stated numbers) 275/35R18 Potenza RE-71Rs and the only rubbing was in the rear, no rubbing in front even with being lowered on coilovers and going full out on the track. The rear rubbing can be fixed by a mild fender roll. A fender roll probably wouldn't be necessary at all at stock height or with a 275mm tire that is actually only 275mm wide. This setup is easily daily driveable...at least it is for my comfort level. To me the 275s up front don't feel much different in daily driving than the 245s did...just a slightly heavier steering feel.

I assume you mean small as in wheel height. It definitely looks a little shorter than a 19" or 20" wheel, but I personally care more about go than show. I actually prefer the 18" look with a little more tire on it. To me having more sidewall than a rubber band looks meaner. Of course it's all personal preference and what you use your car for.

I just got my 2012 IS-F and I was looking for thread which would involve IS-F after facelift and PF01s.
Which model year is your IS-F?
Suspension is standard?
