So the thickness of both wheels are the same? The only difference is the flat bottom? I love my old m3 steering wheel because of how thick the grip is, I wonder if there's any like that for our isf.

Yea, the thickness from the 9 to 3 o'clock position is the about the same as my stock wheel. The bottom half is slightly thicker and the there are meaty thumb rests right at 3 and 9. FWIW, I think the 2011 stock steering wheel is thicker than the 2008. So I imagine it might be slightly thicker than what you have now.

This pretty much covers it. Make sure you have the proper tools to remove the wheel (as shown in the vid) and work slowly. The whole process should take you <1 hour.

Does anyone know if a 2009 stock wheel will fit a 2011? Do the years matter on the wheel?

^^^^Answers to your questions - Yes and No.

However the sport button was moved (I believe in 2012) from the dash to the steering wheel. The controls are not part of the steering wheel however, and are mounted independently. So yes, any ISF steering wheel or any ISX50 second generation steering wheel will fit any ISF.

Nice write-up!

here's my custom wheel from my R8, it was ordered to be 4mm thicker than stock and had the top and bottom flat for more grip. You should get something like this for your IS-F!

^^^^Hey guy, how are you doing? Your wheel looks nice, but It's something I wouldn't do. The carbon fiber at the top is just not for me. I would much rather grip leather. Attached is a pict of the the wheel I had built for me by Forum Vendor DCTMS. IMHO, Gotta have leather on top.
