Default Racing slick tires for my ISF

Hello everybody,

I am looking for some suggestions for which size, make and model of racing slick tires I should get my for my ISF to take to the quarter mile track come spring. I am all for buying a second set of rims for the back as well so I can just mount them on a different set instead of having to change my tires from the stock set. Obviously I am only going to buy the back 2 and its ok if I just get regular ugly black rims.

Suggestions please...

Also, I have an upgraded ISS Forged DES exhaust and a Takeda intake, combine that with some racing slick tires and a first timer at the track, what kind of numbers should I be happy with for my first runs? 12.8?

Thanks!!

Bakewalk.

12.8 is for a stock isf. I did 12.7 with just a Borla exhaust even though I messed up one of my shifts. My friend VJ did 12.3 with muffler and secondary cat delete and drag radials, but it depends a lot on your location and track.

245/40/18 Mickey Thompson Street ET's are the best bet. I use them and have been very happy.

+1 on the tire specs. You can also try M&H Racemasters they are sticky as HELL! You won't be disappointed with either MT or MH.
