Default Anyone running TOM's carbon parts with other makes??

Hi Guys,

May have the opportunity to purchase TOM's front splitter and side skirts for my F. If so, worried the weave looks very distinctive and unique compared to my other carbon parts?

Has anyone got a TOM's lip or sides with other makes I could look at?

Whilst I might be saving a few bucks buying these from a guy here in the UK who needs to sell them, I don't want to spend a lot of money only to have the car look odd!

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated as always!

Cheers!

Peter

Hey buddy, I say go for it.. I have Tom's front and rear diffuser and a knock off Wald carbon fiber rear spoiler. They are different weave patterns and to be honest. . I never even noticed until you brought this up and I went and looked closely at the car. If you can get the toms goodies for a good price I say jump on it!

I've got toms front and rear, but I'm getting other carbon side splitters. Most people won't notice the 1x1 vs 2x2 weave.

Here are some pics.. Realistically unless you get Tom's everything you may be able to tel a difference because there are quite a few different weave patterns and how glossy or deep the carbon fiber looks..

All of the being said I still say go for it.. The chances Imo are in your favor as making out "A OK"

Thanks guys.

The guy bought a full TOM's kit just recently, so he is actually selling front, side and rear, but I already have a good Arkym diffuser installed on my car (now discontinued as well I believe?).

Given I have Novel, Wald replica, Aeroworx, and roof spoiler with slightly different weave/direction, can't see it being a real issue if the price is right.

Thanks for the photos H1_OFICR.

Well Pete, I guess that kit I sent to the UK is going to end up to you in the end..

Its not a replica. Authentic carbon fiber Toms parts I sent.

Pretty sure Kody is on about my Wald trunk spoiler being a replica (like most of them! Lol).

Don't see how fitting a Tom's kit would change that though?!

Ignore him, I do!

Doubtful. He understandably wants top dollar to claw back as much as he can.

I'm gunning for the RR-Racing performance package next. Not sure I can budget for this kit as well!

Feel for him though. Nowhere near the same market here for IS-F parts. Especially top end ones!

Quick question Josh, the Aimgain front bumper wouldn't work with a Tom's front lip spoiler would it??

If not, only really need the side skirts!

Just need buyers for the front lip and diffuser!

Tough call here in Blightey!

Nope, but you have my contact information, we'll work something out regarding what you need.

I have the TOMs lip, side parts, and am just waiting for the rear diffuser. I will be adding the generic ebay canards to the sides of the rear bumper . I looked at the weaves and they look pretty similar. The canards are not of the same quality but honestly you cant even tell unless you are literally a foot away and are looking to compare the weave patterns. I may or may not mount the canards. They were only $100 but I think their presence gives the kit a more cohesive look.

I say its a minor of the minor details. Go for it Peter !!!!
