Looking at 2008 IS-F's in good condition around $30k price point and seems hard to find a good one. Doesn't have to be local as we'll travel for the right car but must NOT be a salvage car or have a checked history/past. Mileage is pretty flexible as long as it's not 80-100k range. Same goes for mods, color, etc.

Are these cars really holding resale value that well or is the market just slim on inventory?

thanks!
Last week I looked for every ISF I could find for sale in Texas. I found 9. Cheapest one? $34,998. 2008, black, 62k miles. Of the 9, 7 were 2008-2009. The avg sales price of those 7 was $40,402, and the avg mileage was 26.5k. Lowest mileage was 17k, highest was 68k.

Off topic a bit, but aren't you the guy that sold his modded GT500 and got the F in Virginia? Sorry to see you selling so soon. Going back to Mustang?

thanks guys for the wealth of info, I will pass along to my buddy!

I know he prefers to buy a car that is well cared for by a forum member and has a documented history. A lot of those cars out there have such a checkered past

USB and Black are his top color choices but again not too picky.

I paid 47000.00 for CPO 2011 23k miles . I think that was a good deal. It was little cheaper than trade in value at the time.It sat on dealer lot a little longer and they were about to send it to an auction.

I bought mine w/ 47k miles for 35.5 just last week. I know there is one at the northside lexus in houston for 31,900 w/ 63k miles. It is silver, has intake, exhaust, and coilovers. It was pretty nice but the mods made me nervous. I am sure you could work out a deal for 31k....

Hahah. I've looked at this one. I didn't know it had coilovers but I knew it had a Joe Z intake and exhaust. They wanted 38,000 at the time and I just laughed. Where did you end up buying yours?

Thats me. I don't want to sell the car but felt like it made sense because my wife is due in 2 months and I figured it made more sense to have a more family friendly car. I know the isf has a back seat but its really just for looks. haha. She had been dd the car for about 4 months. Go figure I buy it for me and she drives it... Well after talking with her over the past day or so I think I am going to keep the car unless someone offers my asking price or very close to it. She is going to start driving my 12 platinum f150 daily and I picked up a older dd. I like the idea of her in a 4 door truck with my new born. Nice and safe. So the isf will be a sunny day weekend car and I am prob going to order headers and a exhaust for the isf this weekend

On topic. I am asking a little bit more the black book private seller value for my car and I have had a few people pm me on it and text me about it over the past few days. No offers but lots of questions about it.

IMO I wouldn't be less inclined to get a car with 80k+ on it if it was maintained and most of the miles were highway. I've had a few cars with high mileage that I picked up cheap just bc they had more than 60k. My s2000 has 155k and runs better than most with half that. Just my 0.02$, and nice to see you over here and s2ki as well .

Off topic but I want an s2k SO BAD. The AP1 is still holding very high resale value. It doesn't make sense for me to have 3 cars at this point but I will definitely look into an AP2 in a few years...

I dont think you are going to find an ISF for less than 37k. I paid 40 for mine 2 months ago with 38k miles on it, 2008 black
