Is This Normal? (Quality Issues)
Hi guys, so I've had the car for roughly 1 month now and noticed two issues which I found odd, just wanted to clarify that either my issues are nothing to worry about or to know if I need to take it in to the dealers to have it changed under warranty.
Firstly the AC display looks hazed up really bad, I've tried cleaning it with a damp cloth but the haze will not go away, not even slightly.
Is this normal on the ISF?
Secondly I noticed that on the inside of one of my exhaust tips the metal seems to have come off, is this normal? and is this claimable under warranty?
Wow looking at the pic I just realized that the metal mesh behind the tips seems dented in from the top left corner, I have to take a closer look to see what is there.

Nope the car is brand new, only 2000km on the clock, I suspect it was the guys who cleans my car
So is it covered under warranty?

really? it's only been 1 month on a brand new car?
What about the bent metal mesh behind the tips? do you think they will do anything about that?
As for the haze, I'm suspecting the car came with a protective plastic cover/film thing, I will check later when I'm in the car if it can be removed,
Can anyone do me a favor and take a pic of theirs so I can show it to the dealership? would be a great help.

the bent in exhaust is normal, everyone has that, not the peeling paint or the haziness though.

my 09' also has the exhaust tip paint chipping/coming off. i figured the car is now 3.5 years old and it was normal. i also think the bent mesh metal part is normal, too. i think i remember seeing it like that last time i looked carefully down there but i'll double check during my lunch.

Looks to me like, whatever he is using to "CLEAN" you car in those areas is causing the issues...
Everything else looks normal..

Hi Defratos,
Just checked my 2012 and yes, both sides of the mesh are bent in. Probably to clear the bumper properly. Also if you look closely, you'll find that directly above the bent in mesh it also is not painted. The chipped paint, however, is not normal unless the tip got bent and it caused the paint to crack and finally start to peel. On my 2009 IS F I actually had stronger welds on the tips to ensure that they would not break off like some have had. I used flat black high temp. engine paint to touch up the inside of the tips. As for the hazing, mine looks similar. I didn't notice it until your post. Maybe so that glare doesn't obsure the readouts in that panel?
