Thanks guys.. still debating.. if I do not get an IS-F I will prob try and find a IS350 F Sport AWD. But I'll prob regret that come spring

Total n00b question here.. the is the main difference between 250 and 350 the extra power?

This is the way to go! Yes, the huge horsepower advantage of the 350 is the main difference. IS350 F Sport AWD is my choice for MN winters. But if you can afford a second car preferrably FWD or AWD, buy an F.

Yeah I wish I could find a 350 F Sport locally.. I may just end up getting this 250 F Sport from Florida but it is RWD and no Navi.. so we will see. Just not sure I can settle with RWD after having an AWD Evo. I know winter tires make a world a difference but enough to compare to AWD with all seasons?

I have an offer in on a 350. If that does not work out I may just give the ISF a shot with some new LM60s.

You are making a huge mistake my man...

AWD is not a necessity. I own both an fx45 and an F, and the fx still stays parked most of the winter. The only time I take it out is when we are going skiing, to hockey with several guys (F trunk only fits one bag), or through a certain mountain pass that they consistently shut down due to weather.

Go with the F, get through your first winter learning how to drive it, and absolutely love your decision come spring.

LOL please stop arguing about weather. OP just get a daily driver and call it a day. No RWD car that has 300+ hp will handle well in snow, regardless of geographical location. Not to mention would you really want your F to get mucked up by the salt on the roads?
