Good job with the auxiliary fuel tank--its a must for serious nitrous users. I don't have one as yet. I just finished reading a book called "The nitrous oxide performance handbook" by Jeff Hartman, a student of Bob Norwood (The God of Nitrous). This guy was using aviation fuel to prevent detonation with his 3-400 shot hits. Ramped up on a progressive controller of course.. Wheres your battery, i didn't see it in the trunk..

Well I gave it my best shot under the circumstances.
My attention was all on my race car, so when I flipped the switch to heat the nitrous bottle, I forgot about it and the battery drained. I had to use my key to open the door and trunk. I hooked up my portable battery starter, started it and let the car idle for a while. I'm pretty sure this screwed with the ECM's mapping, because I couldn’t go better than a 12.7 N/A and a 12.2 Nitrous. I’ve gone as fast as my nitrous, N/A!
Furthermore, two runs and the nitrous tank was empty. I had another tank ready, but I didn’t have time since another bracket racing event screwed with the timing of our Test n Tune. Traction was subpar as is Sac Raceway as a whole.
I'll go out to Infineon when it reopens next month.

That seems to be the standard when at the track. The major issues is the traction. Seems you slipped about halfway down the track. Not sure if it was tires or transmission slippage. I know some other people have had pretty good results with smaller diameter wheels (18") and more rubber, like a drag radial. Has anyone done a set of racing slicks in the back yet? I wonder if the transmission could handle that? Such throwing out some suggestions. I wish I would have had a chance to ride in Mitch's car before he got rid of the nitro. Anyway great run, look forward to updates from this thread.

Horsepower won't make the gearbox slip. Input torque is all the gearbox cares about. Managing it so it doesn't make the clutches slip is pretty important to the gearbox's service life.

Reading this makes me only want to stick to Intake, headers, and exhaust. No sense in me getting nitrous. I'm one of those idiot drivers that when at the track just wants to engage full throttle and not worry about anything else except for tire slippage. I don't want to also worry about tranny slippage.
