No regrets here whatsoever..... I love the reliability of my Lex, she's a real looker too.
The performance differences in the 2 cars is negligible either way, so I'm quite happy with my purchase.

If price, maintenance (after BMW's 3yr/50k free maint,) and long term reliability weren't an issue, I would go M3 with DCT. BMW maint costs are crazy after warranty along with questionable 100k reliability. And an equivalently loaded M3 with DCT would be $70k+ after TTL. For $70k...would rather get a used GTR for $65k. Maint. costs be damned for owning an GTR....it's worth it.
2008 ISF here, ~30k miles, not one problem so far. Only had to replace the front tires, oil changes every 4-5k miles, cabin and engine air filters, and recently brake fluid flush. Still on original brake pads and they have 50% life left.

You already know how I feel about the m3 vs IS-F. They're both great cars, each with obvious advantages. After driving my brothers m3 coupe while my car was out of commission for a week, I couldn't wait to get back into my baby.
His car feels faster in a straight line, and contrary to all the numbers being thrown around in shifting speeds, his car feels like it shifts twice as fast as mine. Something about driving it to a redline past 8 grand and a neck snapping shift just gets me smiling from ear to ear. I also love the rev matching it does. For instance, cruising in 6th gear and hitting (-) paddle 4 times will send you straight to 2nd gear with 1 hard blip. The IS-F actually rows through all the gears. The m3 reminds me closest to what a real heel toe is.
But I love my IS-F and I regret nothing. =]

As many comparisons that have been done by magazines, I personally feel that they are two totally different cars. The ISF is my daily driver. After a hard day of work when you want a relaxing drive, the ISF gives it to you. The shifts are smooth and the car is quiet (though the shocks could use better rebound). The fit and finish and reliability is amazing. When you want to drive aggressively, simply switch to manual for neck snapping shifts and torque galore.
The M3 is my weekend car when you want to have fun. The handling in the M3 is hands down better. Overall, it is a better driver's car I think. No problems after a year and a half of ownership (probably jinxed myself)
Both great cars. Any true unbiased car enthusiast can see the merits (and demerits) in each car.
