Default Aspect Ratio to rear 275

Hey everyone, i have found some really good information on this thread and i just have one question.
I am buyin set of aftermarket wheels and tires and the recommended tire size for the rear rim (19x9.5 with 35mm offset) is 275/35R19, but im wondering if i could run a 275/40R19, the over all diameter of the tire would be: 26.58" for the the 275/35R19 and 27.66" for the 275/40R19

has anyone ran a wheel combo in the back that has an over all diameter of 27.66" and if so i just wanted to know if it rubs or how it is. I would like a little bit more meat on the rear rim if i can.

any help would be helpfull

subscribed for response. Looking at a same sized rear wheel, but looking to run 275/30 or 265/35 in the rear, and 255/35 or 245/35 in the front

Hello everyone...

I figured I would ask here before doing something dumb.
I have an 08 Isf in matador and looking at a new set if wheels.

Safe setup:
19x9.5 +40 square 255/35/19
Or
19x9.5 +40 255/35/19 front
19x11 +33 285/30/19 rear

Is this second option viable?
The standard recommended fitment is showing
19x8.5 +35 and 19x9.5 +40 with 225 and 255.

I was hoping the setups above would work as the 8.5 has near zero concave to it.

What would the pros recommend? Wheels are Rohana RFX11 in bronze and tires will likely be Michelin Pilot SS.

Thanks!

The 11” rear will rub without fender mods. You need a much higher offset to fit without rolling/cutting fenders.

I run 275/30 on 19x10 et40 - no rubbing at all with no fender mods. That is about as wide of a tire you can run on a et40, you need to go higher to fit anything wider.

It's hard to find aftermarket wheels for this car without fender modding. I was trying to get wheel sizes in;

Front 19x8.5 +30 225/40/19
Rear 19x9.5 +35 255/35/19

Not even sure if these will not rub on stock suspension or even a 1" drop? I would like to avoid all fender pulling/rolling and modding of the fender liner can't confirm fitment.

Im not a fitment pro, but your too aggressive if your goal is not to modify fenders in my opinion, especially if you ever plan to lower it. Stick with a 45 offset in the rear. Maybe a 35 in the front will be fine.

The most popular size seems to be 18 - 19 x 9.5 et 45 square on these cars, and 275 square doesn’t rub even lowered on that setup.

Will you be keeping your stock wheels?
