Default Widest wheel/tire combo for IS-F?

hey guys, thinking of getting an IS-F. What is the widest wheel combo you guys have seen for a 19" wheel? I'd like to get to a a 295 for rears, but is this even possible?

Fitting a 295 is not an issue. The question is are you willing to cut/roll the rear fenders and get wheels with the right offset in order to pull that off .

I copy and pasted the below statement from the link above.

"I can tell you that a 19x9 with a 45mm offset will not rub on the front running a 255/35-19. On the rear, 19x10.5 with a 60mm offset will not rub with 295/30-19. Some people prefer a tire with a little more meat on the sidewall. Anything below 3% is acceptable on the IS-F.

awesome, thanks! I love the IS-F but I keep scratching my head as to why they'd put that much mojo with such little rubber to the pavement It really needs a wider stance IMO.

I'm coming from a 977 with less horsepower but 11" wheel width.

Any aftermarket wheel recommendations ISF? or the usual suspects (HRE)

That depends on the use and tire set-up. Below is a quick referrance guide you can use.

FRONT
WHEEL WIDTH OFFSETS WIDTH OF TIRE
7.0 +16/+65 225
7.5 +22/+65 225/235
8.0 +29/+59 225/235/245
8.5 +35/+52 235/245/255
9.0 +41/+46 245/255/265

REAR
WHEEL WIDTH OFFSETS WIDTH OF TIRE
8.0 +26/+65 225/235/245
8.5 +33/+65 235/245/255
9.0 +39/+65 245/255/265
9.5 +45/+65 255/265/275
10.0 +52/+65 265/275/285
10.5 +58/+60 275/285/295

**USING WHEEL WITH OFFSETS HIGHER OR LOWER THAN SEEN
ABOVE COULD CAUSE INTERFERENCE WITH THE FENDERWELL
OR SUSPENSION COMPONENTS.

Hey BigA,

I'm looking at 19x9, 19x10 with +43, +45 offset. Wearing 275/35 in the rear, does the chart suggest it would rub the fender?

Thanks!

This was from the ISF forum from the discount tire vendor. You go to the link and there is a number you can call.

I guess no one remembers what D2 has been doing since 2008 when the F came out:

D2FORGED 20x9.5 Front and 20x11 Rear 295/25/20

D2FORGED 20x9.5 Front and 20x11 Rear 295/25/20

D2FORGED 20x9 Front and 20x10.5 Rear 295/25/20

To answer the question, with the right wheels you can run a 295 tire in the rear, without an issue.

9.5 should be 37 and 11 should be 48. i did the measuring. run a 255 front and 295 rear with no major rubbing.
