I talked to the parts department at sewell and told them what happened. i read off the part number and told me i had gotten the wrong card. They told me they have the correct card for my 08. I am working on getting this going, and will let you know if , and when i do!

I ordered the key card from Sewell and it's on backordered and they don't when they will get it in stock, but I already paid. Will double check with Longo to see if it works on the 08.

talked to sewell parts again. Was unclear and discovered that no card will work with the 2008 models.

only way to get one is buy a 2009. :/

i talked to one of the service representatives today at Longo Lexus, and they were unable to give me a definite answer. I told them it was an 08 IS F, and they said that they're looking into finding the answer shortly, but could not say yes or no when i went there. i was under the presumption that 08-09 cars would work with the 09 smart card.

You guys are correct, I brought it in and tried to have it programmed, but no luck. I have to return the key card to Sewell.

sorry to bring up an old thread, but I have an '08 ISF and am in need for a card key.

I went to the sewell website to find an F-branded key. Under the '08 section - there is only a normal key card you can buy, but the FCC ID does not match what I currently have (in the picture of the item at least).

I went to the 2012 ISF page, and the F-Branded Key Card has my FCC ID (in the product description).

In the end, I was not able to code it to the '08 car, and sold it to someone with a '10...

my key card works and my FCC doesn't match up with my regular key I believe.

I bought it from a guy who had a 2008 vehicle though so I knew it worked.

I really wish a dealer or Lexus tech in SoCal would help me with this process lol.
