Track day in Vegas for all cars
For those of you interested in tracking you IS-F, the Porsche Club is having an event at Spring Mountain Raceway Feb 7th-8th. They call it a drivers Ed event. I went to it last November and had a blast. The track is in pahrump but not too far from Vegas. It is a lot of fun and all cars are encouraged to come and drive. Contact Tony Zito on this site if you would like more info. I haven't seen any IS-F's out there so hopefully we can get one there.

I would love to participate. I'm actually going to be out there that weekend from LA. Unfortunately, we're taking the wife's MB E350 as we're bringing along the in-laws and child. Too bad the F only sits four....
Maybe we'll caravan and bring both cars.....

I highly suggest it if you can. I went up in November for a Driver's Ed program and it was a blast. They teach you a lot on the first day too. We do some training exercises to help us on the track. It is all worth the money. I am hoping to have some track tires by then.

#6 Neiman Marcus IS-F from Las Vegas will be there, that's for sure. Thanks for posting this info and thanks to the Porsche Club for the invite. Hey there #50, drop off the wife and kids and meet me there and you can get behind the wheel of your younger brother. Also, might someone private message me the contact info of Tony Zito? I can't seem or I should say, can't find his info on this site.

Tony's email address has changed I guess. Here is the new one. lvoradba@yahoo.com
If it is your first time out there they will give you a short class on how High Performance Driving works. They cover some basic stuff but it is VERY important. I thought I knew how to drive fairly well but I was wrong.
Make sure to do a check up of your car(fluids, tires, brakes etc..) You have to fill out a sheet when you get there and make sure you aren't spilling any fluids on the track. Shouldn't be a problem for you guys. Also, make sure and bring a helmet or rent one at the track for $20 per day. I race in the student/beginners group. Last time I pushed my car harder than I thought it would ever go. It is amazing what you learn about your car there. It is a controlled environment and safe to go fast.
These are the main contacts for the event
Scott Mann(Driving Instructor) 739-8011
Tony Zito (Past President) 521-9966
or Randy Gabe(Treasurer) 804-1669
Let them know if you sign up Ryland Whitaker referred you. Tony and Scott should know who I am.

Usually the first thing you learn on the track is how slow you are compared to people who really know how to drive. Not many people go from street to track and go genuinely fast right away.
Anybody attending - HAVE FUN! There are few things in life you can do with clothes on that are more fun than a track day.
