My F at the dragstrip vs Modded IS350
Just thought I would post this from a few months back....Only my 3rd time at the track against a buddies modded IS350..this dude lives at the track, but unfortunately for him Im getting better every time I go.....still need to work on reaction time and 60ft.....I ended up running 12.56 at 112....not too bad.....he ran a 13.5 not sure of his trap speed.

How does someone forgot to put it in manual mode lol , it's usually one of the first things I do when I start the car, nice run though

He could get a true dual exhaust like the Borla or JoeZ, that should net him some gains. The stock pipe merges into one and seems pretty restrictive.
I think he deleted the secondary cats but I'm assuming he still has the stock primaries on the headers, which are probably just as or even more restrictive than the secondaries. (OP, did you gut the primaries also?) People have picked up 40-50whp just from a cat-less header setup alone.
Next he could get rid of the Injen "hot-air" intake which is probably robbing him of some power and going back to the stock enclosed "cold-air".

I'm looking at the engine bay and it seems like it is already taking in cold-air, in stock. The only time I had hot air intake was from my short ram intake from my EP3 which was behind the engine. Fixed it a little bit with a heat shield.

[QUOTE=RSXiMUS;8890778]I think there is still room for a lot of improvements.

How about from the ISS Forged QES system? I had straight pipes on my previous IS F, eventhough I was in love with the sound most of the time. I disliked very much how i had an empty hole from the lower diffuser. I want performance but care also for aesthetics.

On all my runs I left TC on.....the prev week I turned it completely off and got horrible 60ft times...when i left it on I got a 1.991 60'
5.448 330 and
8.2 in 1/8th at 88.73
1/4 mile went by in 12.56 a 112.57
As far the intake goes...yea it does heatsoak but I think this particular run it was ok because the car had time to cool down alot in the staging lanes because of the grudge racing, but a stock airbox would have been so much better.....I do believe I could have squeezed some more out of the car with a little more experience and better tires.....I dont think that a diff exhaust would have made a difference as I have seen cars with my setup pull on other exhaust setups....ask Slay he is the originator....
