Steering wheel wobbles/vibrates when braking

+1 for the rotors

I think the F-Sport pads are semi-metalic, hence the excessive brake dust and fast rotor wear.
I had 11k miles on the F-Sport pads and there is already a lip around the rotors. I wouldn't be surprised if the warped rotors are due to these pads.
Good thing i changed to Akebono.

Many times, anything felt in the steering wheel when braking, is front brakes related.
But, did the issue only show up AFTER the shop did the work?
Make sure the wheels were seated properly. Check for loose lugs, etc.
I keep posting into wrong forum, this site mixes forums on same page !!! Arrggghhhh.
For my GX470 I have had great experience using EBC blanks or their slotted/dimpled rotors (GD7238), but I only seek out the ones casted in UK and then finished in their Las Vegas machine shop.
I switched rear rotors to a slotted set too (the ones I got were not EBC, but so far so good).
As for pads, was running Hawk LTS forever, then got a Akebono for front. At the time of rear rotors I needed a set of pads asap, so got a set of the Duralast Gold Ceramic pads. It's been about 15kmi now and no issues.
Tidbit about my EBC rotors. I have two sets, one set of blanks and another set of slotted/dimpled. The GD7238's have two "issues" to be aware of. 1) they make additional noise as the pad wipes over, almost sounds like baseball card in spokes of your bicycle, and 2) the inner cut (radius from center) leaves no space for the edge of the pad, they needed to cut about 1/8" more (less radius) to give a little clearance. This may depend on chosen pads because pads are not all the exact same size. I compared the cuts between OEM and the GD's, OEM had a little more room in the face cut, etc. I did send a note w/ pics to EBC in Las Vegas, but never heard back.
My EBC blanks are on the GX now. Had them on before I went to the GD's, then took GD's off (had a pad issue with them). While the GD's were on the GX I had a speed shop re-surface (very little cut, then dressed) the blanks. It was an interesting final dressing, looks like a tool pass leaving a track about 1/32" wide and maybe 0.0005" deep, making a spiral across the rotor face. This type of spiral basically wipes the pad face, etc. I have never seen it done this way before, but, with 15k city-mi on them now, the spiral cut is still there and brakes are working great. The only noticeable diff with this setup is, braking bite seems almost exponential the harder you get into the pedal, but soft braking is about the same as OEM.

Did you do the lower control arm bushing upgrade ti the RCF/GSF ones?
brakes aside, steering feel is so much better after doing the upgrade, it’s straighter, doesn’t wobble under acceleration or braking, doesn’t follow bends in the road either now.
