i thought texas has no sales tax at all. so even if you register your car in texas, you dont have to pay tax for it right?

texas has sales tax (6.25% for texas residents) but you'll have to pay cal sales tax when you buy the car then register it in cal when you get back.

I thought they had no income tax?
