Default 2014 IS250 f-sport knocking noise at initial startup

Hello fellow Lexus owners I'm new to this forum I purchased a 2014 Lexus IS250 F Sport I have 13000 miles roughly in the last month or so I have noticed after driving a a few miles and park the car and it has been sitting for an hour or so when I get in it to start it up at initial startup sounds like a diesel I have seen and read on the older models in this forum that it has been a TSB for the cam gear I contacted Lexus and they are aware of this issue but on the older models has anybody experienced this on a newer model 2014 or newer any info very appreciated thanks fellow Lexus owners... please help

after lexus/toyota made crucial changes to the engine, it has been rare for a newer 250 to experience carbon buildup related issues. this would be even more rare given that you have only 13k miles on the car. it wouldn't be unheard of, however, and i'd bring it to the dealer in order to replicate the issue. hopefully it's not related to the carbon buildup issues that plagued the older models and hopefully it gets fixed asap. good luck!

as an aside, make sure you are using premium fuel.

Default Knocking noise

I only run 91 always I have brought it to the Dealer's attention he said it's only on older models and have to verify the problem so now I look funny trying to record and duplicate the problem as for it only happens on occasion very frustrated for first time only to Lexus first it was the brakes then the battery within the AC now the knocking noise what's going on really

The knocking (ticking) sound you are hearing may be the normal sound of the high-pressure direct injectors. We all have this ticking sound. You hear it on other cars, too. There are a number of posts already on this matter. Not sure if it's your issue, but worth a mention.

Yes thank you for the info unfortunately it is not the normal ticking sound this is a knock like a diesel engine.
