How to check current oil life?
So I purchased my used 2014 Lexus IS with around 38,700 miles last month. Now, it has about 39,600 miles. I don't know when the next service appointment is, since the last one recorded on the CarFax was around 30,100 miles, so I was looking for a way to check the current oil life. I looked around the car but couldn't find anything. I know on Hondas and Acuras, there is a way to check the oil life percentage on the driver's instrument panel. Is there a similar feature like this on Lexus vehicles where you can check the current oil life?

Your next oil change and service is at 40k assuming carmax did the 30k. 30 would have been oil, break fluid Chang, cab filter, and check that the floor mats are secure (always love that one!). Congrats on the new purchase.

Welcome. I don't recall there being a "check oil life percentage" feature on the car. You may be able to see when the maintenance light was last reset, can't remember where this is, or frankly, if I'm recalling that correctly. Oh sorry, I just saw this reply. That explains why the owners site didn't have the last service recorded. However, I still don't get why the service performed at Park Place Lexus wasn't recorded on CarFax.

It is not required that they do so and I bet it adds "more work" to their day which is probably how they validate not doing it.
