No, if you put it off to the right side of the cd slot then it won't and place the magnet more towards the bottom half of the phone instead of dead center it doesn't get in the way of the shifter.

Yes, I know I am old school but I carry my phone in my pocket all day. When I get in the car I turn on Bluetooth and all is good. It is against the law here to text or talk on the phone while driving. I just don't see the need for any kind of cell phone holder. My pocket works just fine. Again, one man's opinion.

Does not show emails. However, it does show Text Messages if you allow so. The car will read the text, and have option to reply with preset text messages.

I bought this and it works really well. I mounted it in between the seat warmer buttons, slightly towards the passenger side. Just enough room to move the shifter
