Possible ISF being introduced today?

I completely fail to understand what people are all up in arms about. Themed/advertising cars at auto shows are nothing new.

What the heck is Lexus doing to the IS??? This is crazy, it's almost like an April fools joke.

Do that **** with a Corolla but Lexus? Whose idea was this? Terrible.
Why not make a Louis Vuitton version or some other luxury name. Kate Spade? Something? Anything other than hot sauce. WTH.

If people already don't take Lexus seriously, this car isn't going to make a difference.
Lexus has done this before, they'll do it again. Let them have a little fun.

What I can't understand is Lexus takes away the dual headlights and makes them single by saving them money and then doesn't offer us the option of the cool led headlights but they used that money saved to make this hot mess? Seriously this is a fail!!

Does that include the thread in the Car Chat forum?
As much of a let down as most think this is... (and I would agree)

...it certainly has our attention, at that's what marketing is all about these days, getting attention, and in that respect, Lexus has clearly succeeded.

I think people just got their hopes up for something great, but if you look at the history of new car introductions at Lexus, it's never done like this. We had something like 2 years of rumors and spy shots for the GS F. An IS F wasn't just going to pop up.
But you are right, the point is to get attention, and it's done very well at that. I think it's in good fun, some people think otherwise, and that's okay.
I just think, from Lexus' point of view, you get West Coast Customs, who they've worked with before, and a well known company Sriracha, all looking to get together to do something fun and get people talking. I see no harm in that.
If people are already not "into" Lexus, this won't change that. If this drives current fans away, then okay, but with something this small I would suspect they aren't that big of fans.
Personally it doesn't affect me one way or the other, so I am not bent out of shape about it. I enjoyed reading about the craziness of it, and it made me smile and chuckle.
