At you age, I'd get the gt86 over the Lexus. Lexus is an old man car

21 here. To each their own, but I know that feeling. My other options were E92, Evo, and BRZ/FRS and there are days when I wish I had gotten something else because I did want a project car. That being said, I think I made the right decision in the end.

My first car was a Honda Accord ... My parents had money but they weren't going to gift my an expensive car as my first one. I would have had to earn something better. Had I went to college and graduated, they would have got me a BMW/Lexus/Benz as a graduation gift. I didn't go to college so I had to work my *** off to be able to afford to drive nice cars. To each their own ...

Can you wait until you actually get your licence and the keys to a car before making another "Oh look what I'm getting post ..."

Well, my first car was a new Mazda RX-8. I mainly wanted it because of Vin Diesel's RX-7 in Fast and the Furious. My dad put the down and I paid the car monthly. Good times.

I don't really think Lexus is a old man's car. I mean, now that I'm a dad, it's a sporty 4 door car. For me that is.

Yeahh. It would be cheaper and more fun to mod thoses cars. Modding and keeping the lexus classy is expensive af. But, long term it would be more useful and hold it values.

For my first car, I'd get an Infiniti G37 or Q60 (same car, different name dependent on year). those things are reliable, classy, and fast (faster than an IS for sure). You can also get them pretty cheap (mid $25k for one in great condition).
