Default 1900 miles and a stock Dunlop blew out!

Yup ... On my way to work this morning, driving slow with morning traffic, and all of a sudden ... BOOM! Driver side rear tire blew out! Looks to be almost right in the middle of the tread. No damage to the rim or suspension. I was able to crawl the last half-mile to work and now waiting on a call back from my dealership to arrange a tow and loaner vehicle.

I had to run back out with a co-worker to a meeting, when I get back I will post some pictures.

I didn't purchase any add-ons when I did my lease but only 1900 miles and the tire blows, anyone think I'll have an issue having the dealership replace the tire for free?

*** EDIT ***

So I take the blame for not really looking when I first got the car but my car came stock with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 050 tires NOT Bridgestones like everyone has been saying. I've heard a lot on this board that the 18's come with Bridgestones so I assumed (my fault) that mine had them on there too. I just looked since I'm dealing with this blow out and they are Dunlops! MY BAD!

Here's what I have

I didn't have a violent blow out like you did, but after about 13000miles on my car one tire developed a slow leak that was "unrepairable". I had about 60% tread left too, but ended up just getting a whole new set.

There was a thread about this, but yes the stock Bridgestone Potenza RE92 are horrible. Not that Bridgestone is a bad brand it's just the model they decided to put on the 3IS is bad compared to other Bridgestone tires. If I were you I wouldn't buy the OEM tires. Instead you should buy the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport or the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. They have great reviews on TireRack.

I hoping (and it looks like) it was a defect in the tire and dealership will replace it for free. I looked quickly and didn't see a nail or anything in the tire.
IF I have to pay for a new tire, I think I'm going to go with the BFG G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S. Great reviews on Tire Rack, priced right where I want to be and have a 400 tread wear rating.

I've had the Pilot Suoer Sports on my last car. Best tire I've ever had.

Wait a second... I keep reading stuff on CL that the OEM tires are horrible and everything, but now I read your post saying that the OEM tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE92!! Mine are Bridgestone Turanza EL400-02 and they're OEM from the dealership too (maybe cuz I'm from Canada?).

How are they compared to the Potenza ones?

I keep having the impression that my tires are bad and so bad that I'll probably end up changing them before returning my lease. But if they're good, then maybe I won't need to...

I made an edit above but I completely screwed up ... I have Dunlop tires, not Bridgestones!
I've heard a lot on this board that the 18's come with Bridgestones so I assumed (my fault) that mine had them on there too. I was wrong!
