Bear in mind that all that was mentioned to be standard in the $35k base model is autopilot hardware, supercharger and at least 215 miles on a single charge. Based on both the Model S and Model X, adding AWD and turning on the autopilot feature will bump that up to about $43k.

I just think it looks odd in general. The proportions are weird. I also agree that the interior looks very bare, it's way too simplistic to the point of looking rubbish.

Since Tesla's don't require this, the grill is simply not applicable.
It just looks strange because we're not used to seeing cars without them. Personally, I like it.

Well the point of a grill is to let air flow into the radiator, transmission cooler, a/c condenser, etc.
