I'm shopping for either a 14 or 15 3IS. I'm finding some good deals on certified 14's. I know the 15 has the "siri eyes free" and the option to use the phone app, but is the increased price for a 15 really worth it from a tech perspective? Anyone share anything else that is a big improvement in the 15? IS the navigation any faster or better?

Navigation is way faster. The 14s have a bad lag. Siri eyes free is a really nice option for Apple users

I honestly believe if your a tech person, the multimedia in any Lexus SUCKS!
Get a 15' without nav!
You can still get the back up camera without nav
Stay away from 14 unless u get a badass deal because they are missing things from the factory!
Sucks for the 14 owners to not have the cooled seats on the f sport

I came from a 14 to 16 model and I can attest that the software is much better than the 14's. It responds quicker, little to no lag, and updated navigation maps made it a better experience. Plus the heated steering wheel and ventilated seats are a plus!

The 15-16 IS center console is so much nicer. Its more of a matte black plastic looking finish, the 14 model has a glossy black finish... more prone to scratches and grease marks.

The nav is more improved as well, the mouse pad responds quicker and when you hover over a command, the mouse actually highlights it.

I think that option is for luxury package, or a compete separate option.

I have a 16 F Sport.. no heated steering, but I got heat and vented seats. (Not like I will need heated steering, I live in CA lol)

**Or maybe the heated steering option in base on regions..?

I believe it was a standalone option for $150. Previous years it was part of the cold weather package or something like that.

For 15 and on, the heated steering wheel is part of the F Sport package on AWD models.

Although I haven't compared my 2014 IS350 F Sport with any of the newer models, I think the tech on my car is fine. The nav works great, heated seats work great, BSM is awesome, ML sound is a fantastic sound system, and the controls for the infotainment are functional with no complaints from me. I can live without heating steering and ventilated seats. I live in WA so it doesn't get too cold like the northeast where I lived and it got to -30 and it doesn't get hot like Las Vegas where I'll need ventilated seats that good old regular A/C won't do.

imo the infotainment system gets better year by year (even though it is still pretty bad), but the 2015 is your best bet. i think its worth it to have the siri integration as well

Ive got the cooled seats on my 2014 is350 fsport and the nav works fine. The console is a matter of taste. Everyone has an opinion abt that.
