Default eff'd up due to blizzard

Stopped by my dealership on Mon 2/1/16 to have them even out the tire pressure, each corner was different ranging from 29 - 37. Started a conversation with the general sales manager, he asked if I'd be interested in getting out of my 2014 IS 250 base AWD lease early (exp 8/2016). Let's talk, I'm listening. He mentioned that due to the blizzard that hit the east coast on 1/23, they had to close and lost an entire Saturday worth of business, needed to increase the monthly unit sales totals. He came up with the numbers (that were already very good), I said (jokingly), throw in illuminated door sills, all season mats (he agreed!) and rear spoiler (he did not agree to that ... boooooo!). They traded me me out, paid it off and ended up leasing a 2016 IS 300 AWD with the F Sport Pkg, USB on Black, Navi, BSM/RCTA, Heated Steering Wheel and Acc Pkg 2. I'm thrilled beyond words ... pick her up tomorrow. Base 250 to a 300 F Sport upgrade due to a blizzard!

Nice! Congrats!

This is not unlike when I brought my IS350 in for an oil change and walked out with a new GS!

Nice and congrats!

I too was approached by my dealer a few weeks ago as well as the other dealer when I picked up my RC F. I was asked if I wanted to trade out of my IS 250 AWD into a 300 AWD but turned it down due to my extra $ invested in mods and the fact that I may buy out my IS since I have such low mileage.

Interesting, I had the same offer. I ran through the numbers and while it seemed too good to be true, it turned out they were absorbing the depreciation (8months/15K km). I took it, because the 2GR engine is much better. I only had tints as far as mods, so I can redo that in the spring.

I can't believe the dealer stuck that advertisement on the front. And no doubt drilled holes in the front bumper too.

Oh, you are in NJ... I guess that explains it.

Agreed! Unfortunately, we don't have a choice running without a front plate here in NJ without the risk of constantly being pulled over, warned or fined. Florida looking better for that reason AND your weather too. Snowed here first day home and not looking good next week either. Clean for a day

Indeed. Here are a few reasons why we like it in the Sunshine State:

1) No front license plates!
2) Lax traffic enforcement, most LEO's give you 13 over the limit on the highways and 'rolling stops' are OK.. (Don't want to upset the tourists!).
3) Premium gas is $2.17 today.
4) My 3IS license tag costs $32.50 annually to renew.
5) No state income tax!
AND
6) Last weekend it was 80 degrees and sunny. Today isn't so great, 55 and cloudy but at least there is no chance of snow, or salt on the roads, or ice, or .... Where we live it hasn't been below 40 this year.
