That totally sucks man. Well I am sure you can recover most of your money on here by selling the stuff. I'd get a hold of that guy Christian and lay it all out for him plus complain to Lexus Canada. I wouldn't blame you at all for taking your business elsewhere. That is no way to treat someone. I bet that ***** is being like this because it is close to the end of the month and he needs to increase his sales numbers.

Did you get your deposit back at least?

There are 3 Lexus dealerships in the Greater Vancouver area. The IS is a great car and your poor dealership experience shouldn't deter you from getting one. Yes, it's been inconvenient but from the dealership perspective, once that AC compressor was replaced, it's a brand new vehicle that they can sell to someone else. I would accept it as bad luck, move onto another dealership and get into an IS now if you still want one.

The IS also general availability, not limited availability, so the deal could just honour the commitment to offer a discount and take the ongoing service revenues that comes with that. If this was on tight allocation, then it would be different.

I think your best bet is to buy a CPO Cadillac CTS-V for about the same price. Call your salesman and his boss if you can out to the front parking area. Proceed to talk to them, explain that you bought the CTS-V, and do a massive burnout when you leave, flipping them off the whole time.

Sad to say, but I'd much rather have a pre-owned, last gen CTS-V for 40-50k over a new Lexus.

Hi All, thanks for your help and advice. We have now moved on from Lexus and now looking at BMW 3 series. Test drove the new 340i and it just blew my mind how planted it is and the acceleration is just wow. Very addictive.
The only thing I have for sale is the brand new, unremoved fr the original box, RSR sports i coilovers which is posted in my for sale thread.

I came from a BMW 335i. I would not touch another one if I was at all interested in reliability. Granted it did have better performance feels to it. I bought it as a CPO with 22k miles on it. Between then and when I sold it at 54k, these were the problems.

1) Windshield wiper fluid reservoir/pipe leaked
2) AC pipe leaked
3) Injector went bad. As BMW had made new injectors that weren't backwards compatible, all 6 had to be replaced. Ignition Coils and Plugs as well.
4) Recall with the battery cables in case of accident.
5) Battery replacement
6) Something to do with the low pressure fuel pump

The previous owner had to deal with the High Pressure Fuel Pump going bad. The cars usually had water pumps go bad around 50k which mine had not at the time I sold it. Thankfully everything was under warranty except the battery replacement. Now, if you buy an extended warranty, then by all means. They are damn fun to drive.
