18 months in on a 2014 IS250 F-Sport, 9 months left on lease, won't buy the car
I love the car overall. I love the styling and the interior. I wanted Rioja Red and I like it a lot. I have 9 more months on the lease and was considering buying the car off lease until recently. I do not expect perfection from a $43K car or any other car, for starters. I will just list why I am not going to buy the car off lease below:
1) There is a weird HVAC noise on startup about 50% of the time I start the car.
2) The voice command s/w for navigation completely effing sucks.
3) There is a lot of wind noise on the driver's door window only. The rest of the seals seem to be fine.
4) I can get a new one on a lease for less than I would pay monthly on the existing car.
The HVAC thing is not a big deal. The voice command on the nav annoyed me today and it is a First World Problem. I actually doubt it is better in newer models.

I liked the idea of a 200T because it's a new engine and what not. The 350 hasn't been enhanced for a long time, but I am going to get a 350 in July, when my lease is up.
Overall, I do like my IS, but I don't want to own any problems out of warranty.

The is250 is not for keeping in my opinion, since you get better fuel efficiency with the 200t and more power with the is350, so the 250 seems out with no advantage . The is350 should be the standard for this car to be honest, it is fast enough to call the car a sport sedan. However I would still welcome more power since a car with the 3is styling deserves to be the fastest in the segment.

If it makes you feel any better, go test drive the new Mercedes Benz C Class, or GLC300 for that matter. Those two vehicles have the worst wind noise I've heard in a modern car. It makes my IS sound like an EV at highway speeds. My IS does suffer from wind noise on the driver side but it's not nearly as bad these MB's. Very disappointing.
I totally agree about the Navigation and Voice Command integration, pretty terrible. Trying to use the joy-stick after failing with the voice command adds even more frustration to the mix IMO. Hopefully Android Auto and CarPlay make their way in Lexus vehicles soon though.

Honestly, Aside from using the bluetooth connection I don't plan on using ANY of the lexus enform stuff.
Android is so much better than ANYTHING the car manuf. can offer. All I need is the BT connection to the car and I'm good.

My minor wind noise is nothing and the HVAC thing is not a big deal either. I just don't want to own it. The voice navigation really did **** me off on Friday, though, and there is no update. Fine if that's the case in the new IS too, but at least it will be a new IS.
