Default Pandora fading out after one song?

All of a sudden over the last two days my pandora has been acting up

2014 with ML and an iphone 6 on ios 8 (same as has been working for months)

about mid way through the first song it fades out gently. Kind of like listening to a sample would.

I have strong signal, connection is still there, no emails or texts that would chime to interrupt it.

If i hit next it will load the next song but again no sound. If i disconnect and reconnect it plays like nothing is wrong and then fades out after a couple minutes.

Any ideas?

Do a reset on your radio. Press and hold power button until it cycles. Also make sure Lexus app and Pandora are updated.

MANY radio recycles didnt help. Both are up to date but its an irrelevant measure since they worked fine two days prior on the same software versions.

I played around with it some more and have narrowed it down to having the phone plugged in via usb for charging. Short term solution is just not plugging it in, or using a lighter usb charging adapter instead of the vehicle usb.

Finally upgrading to ios9 today so lets see what that does to it.

While I don't know if it directly relates to this issue, plugging your phone via the USB while connected to Bluetooth makes the system go crazy.

yup. It also REALLY didnt like having a ipod and iphone plugged into usbs. It was constantly fighting for which would be called the phone and which would be called the player. The easy answer was to put music on a thumb drive.

as for the current problem, ive resigned myself to not using Pandora if i need to charge.

The USB and Bluetooth connections really seem to fight each other. I just avoid hooking up my phone/iPod via USB and do Bluetooth only. If I need to charge my phone, I keep a cigarette lighter style charger in my center console. It charges it faster than the USB and doesn't cause any other issues.

I find this happens to me periodically and is remedied by closing out of Facebook App if it's running in the background by double tapping the home key and closing that way.
activating Siri for 2-3 seconds and closing it also helps with sound quality for me.
