Anyone speaking Japanese? I am guessing they are talking about the 2016 IS200t with 238ps here:

1. The "downsizing turbo" is available for the RC200t which is for sale in Autumn this year, as well as GS which is receiving minor change within 2015.
2. Expected announcement and sale date for IS200t is between Aug-Sept 2015 and the price range is about the same as IS250
3. IS250 will be discontinued and replaced by IS200t
4. Lexus Safety System+ will be adopted by models which receive minor change in 2016 and by 2017, the entire Lexus lineup will have Lexus Safety System+ available.
5. The rival for Lexus IS200t is Nissan Skyline (aka Infiniti Q50 2.0t)
Bascialy, there are nothing new in the article as they are all expected or previously mentioned (such as Lexus Safety System+)
And there is a summary of discussion from the Internet where people speculate about whether there is electronic parking brake, whether it is 6AT or 8AT, whether the turbo engine for IS is made by Yamaha or not, etc...
The web site also has another link which says 2017 LS will have no physical side mirrors and instead there will be CMOS sensors on each side -- i.e. Side Mirrorless. Not sure if it is true or not...

So according to that page, the power numbers for the IS200T will come in at:
238 HP
258 TQ
Was hoping for a bump as compared to the NX but I guess they aren't going that route.
Seems like the IS should have been pushed to about 255 HP + 280 TQ in stock form.
For comparison, the Audi S3 runs a 2.0T with 292 HP and 280 TQ bone stock and is the same general size and price as Lexus IS.
Still... I'm sure that some very substantial performance gains will be easily extracted out of the IS with a little bit of increased air flow assistance (i.e. aftermarket downpipe + exhaust + intake)
Simply bolting on that triple combo right there added about 70 HP to my Supra Turbo

The IS250 should be approx 600lbs lighter, so with 238hp, I would expect performance on par given how much heavier the NX200t is with cars like the ATS 2.0T or the A4 2.0T, but more than likely slower than the 328i (or even the upcoming 330i that will replace the 328i with a new "B" series engine with more power).

It will be interesting to see what transmission Lexus will put in IS200t AWD...

Looks nice and I love the red, but I am supremely disappointed that Lexus chose to keep the same flared snarling nostrils on the front fascia.
It is literally the only aspect of the styling that I cannot stand. If I do buy an IS200T, the FIRST thing I will do is 'fix' that. Why couldn't they have just made it look like the RC front?
Those snarled nostrils just do not lend a solid sturdy presence to the front face, and it is the ONLY Lexus in the entire lineup that has this.
I like the front grill (and all other aspects) of the F Sport, but I like the front bumper of the non F Sport.
Why do you think all of the body kits and front splitters and carbon fiber lips are all flat? Because it looks better flat!
