Lexus Dealership patches rear left tire, inflates to 55 psi (IS350 F-Sport)
Hey everyone, wanted to get your input. Got off work today and rear left tire was at 17 psi, dealership was only 3 blocks away so I headed straight there since I also have the Tire & Wheel protection plan with my lease.
Pulled out a large nail and said it was patch-able. 20 min later they are done and I'm on my way, I check the tire pressure monitor and it says the rear left tire is 55 psi, I figured maybe it was an incorrect reading and would update, drove home and it didn't move. 55 psi.
I know most tires this size are rated MAX 50 psi, but wasn't sure if it had something to do with conditioning the plug and they expected some air to leak or what. Any advice? they are closed now and won't be open till tomorrow. Not sure if I want to drive on it to be honest.

Went and got a tire pressure gauge to make sure 55psi wasn't like a default or error, indeed super over-inflated.
Released air down to 38psi the average of other tires.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Guess the mechanic was just a goof.
