No more Txt Messages 9-(
When I bought my 2014 IS350 back in April 14, my system was able to transfer a txt message from my phone to the car... once. I thought it was the coolest thing, but for some reason it hasnt worked since that one time. I have a LG G2. I asked the dealer about it and he just said that there its likely the phone got patched to no longer be compatible with the car, which doesnt get updates.
Has anyone figured out a way to make this work?
Thanks!

First for the LG G2, do you ever reboot your phone? This can fix a lot of issues. Since it's basically a computer that can make phone calls.
Second for the Galaxy Note 2, there is a now issue with the Kit Kat (4.4.2) version of Android and Samsungs. It may affect other phones but it really seems to be Samsungs. Is it connecting and disconnecting constantly?

I talked to my local Lexus and they said that the car is not compatible with the newest "Kit Kat" Androids OS. So my Galaxy S 3 does not work as well!

What do you mean? You want it to read your messages? As long as "show notifications" for you car is on, it will read the devices when connected to bluetooth.

Same issue with Kit Kat and my G Note 2. Notifications are turned on. I tried to remove the phone and repair, no dice. I read that a factory reset on the phone works, but don't feel like dealing with the hassle.

Ah, I get now. Works good with my iPhone 5. Text pop up comes up when I receive an Txt message. It show and reads text while parked. Just reads while driving. Very nice.

I have HTC One and text stopped working ever since 4.3 update, and 4.4 didn't work either. I've been on the phone with Lexus Corporate and local technology specialists, they all tried to help me troubleshoot and gave up, then told me sorry but no go. Interesting cause from my research 4.4 seemed to have broken text integration with different brands of cars, even though Google said it "improved" the MAP integration.
