Is dash cam actually work?
So I read a news article of someone being hit from the front and they managed to fine the party-at-fault thanks to his dash cam. My question is: what if you get rear ended or t-boned? Dash cam only shows images from the front of the vehicle right? Any products out there that provide 360° view?

All you really need is the front. If you get t-boned, the front camera will catch if you ran a red light or not. If you get rear ended the front camera record you at a dead stop and not pulling a reverse.
But if you really want it, blackvue does sell a cam with front and rear cam.

I agree the rear camera from Blackvue dr550 2ch kit is not that great, though in my case it has to also deal with 18% tint. However, the front camera i think works well. If you want to see some examples use the links below or do a search for BlackVue on the forums here and you'll find other video examples.
