How much does Roof Vinyl wrap cost now days?

It seems a little high since the average I've seen in this forum including my own is around 250-300$ max. The price you got might simply be based on your local market, but if you trust the installer and has an excellent portfolio, I'd go for it to save the headache of shopping around and risking another installer. Ask how they will do the shark fin, 1 piece or two piece application.

Two pieces is fine if the fin is not removed. To remove the fin, the head liner must be taken off and not many installers are familiar with the 3IS yet. So personally, unless your installer swears he's done it successfully, getting it wrapped in two pieces is the "safer" way and honestly will be fine. Mine is 2 pieces and you can't notice it if done well unless you're 12 inches or closer and looking for the seam. Also, no issues despite the harsh winter.

I posted this in another thread started by another member too.
I had done mine and you don't need to take the whole headliner off, just pull down the back dome light casing and pull down on the headliner a bit and you'll see the bolt in the back that connects the shark fin. To have more wiggle room to work with, there's pressure tabs where the end of the headliner meets the back windshield, pull on that and you can reach your hands from the back for more room. Also, this was my personal preference for a cleaner look, but I ordered a separate OEM shark fin from Sewell in Obsidian Black so I didn't have to wrap the original.
EDIT: I forgot to say I got charged $200 for the wrap.

I wrap cars for a living and recently wrapped my own 3IS. For a roof wrap, I would say anything beyond $250 is ridiculous. If its an experienced installed who knows what they are doing it would take an hour to wrap the roof. As for the sharkfin, the entire headliner does not need to come down. AS Alius said, remove the back dome light and pull down on the back of the headliner to get one or two of the clips to pop out then stick your hand in and unscrew the one bolt that holds it in. Take's all of 10 minutes to get it out.
