I leased from Herb Chambers Sharon MA as well I got 2014 IS350 Fsport AWD NAV BSM ,rear bumper appliqué + cargo trunk and mat retail $48,xxx back in March 31st 2014.

My negotiated price ended up being $45,000. I put down $2500 (includes first month payment, taxes, title everything). Monthly payment was $450/month. 27month lease.

What's MSD?!? Your deal sounds 10x better than mine. Please let me know because I'm going to be re-leasing soon for a 2016 GS350. Thanks.

Salesrep: Mike Clifford Finance Rep: Devon, MSD: Multiple Security Deposits, You can put down a max of 9 of them. It will bring down the money factor by 0.0008 for each MSD. Each MSD is a monthly payment. You get all this money back at the end of the lease. Not like downpayment, it's 100x better. That's how I was able to get .00001 MF. Yea just doing your homework before car shopping will save you lots of money. online research on how leases work and what people are paying for the specific car. Goodluck!

I currently own a CPO ES300 and will be shopping for a IS350 lease. Since I have a history with LFS, will it factor into they pricing/terms?

Probably not - what WILL factor in is the market in your area (deals are fairly good in FL), how well you negotiate, and your credit score.

Wow. This may not be an easy question to answer, but: How would someone go about trying to get a deal like this or just a good deal in general. The whole leasing concept can be confusing at times, but I definitely want to get the best deal I can.

New member to this forum, 1st post on this forum, 1st time leasing a car, 1st time customer with Lexus.
After a lot of reading, I started my shopping process by emailing every internet manager for every lexus dealership in SF bay area, Norcal, and a few in Socal. I did a simple “google” search, looked under the “meet us” section and started sending out emails. If I wasn’t able to find their emails, I just left a message under the “contact us” section, stating I’m looking for a 2015 Lexus IS 350 f sport, ML audio/navi, blind spot, floor mats, trunk net, wheel locks.
Here’s what I got from emails and phone conversations. I know verbal quotes don’t mean ****** but it was a start. All prices before tax, title, license fees. I was looking for 10-15% off msrp.
Freeman, Valley, Fresno, Bakersfield, Concord, Monterey: no response
Redwood city: $43055 (phone)
Marin: 4K off msrp (email)
Pleasanton: 4K off msrp (email)
Oakland: won’t send prices via email. Don’t know why
Roseville: $44795 (email)
Sacramento: $43935 (email)
SJ: $45755 (email)
Fremont: $4K off msrp (email)
Glendale: $45000 (email)
Keyes Van Nuys: 4K off msrp (email)
Longo: $44500 (phone)
Santa Barbara: $44895 (email)
So here is my deal: I decide to go to Putnam lexus because of the $43055 quote over the phone. 36 month/36K miles.
Selling price: $43055.
Residual: 63%=30655
MF: .00018 (max 9 MSD’s)
Drive off: $998
MSD: $3375
Doc fee: $80, Acq Fee: $700, License fee: $393
Rebates/Incentives: $1000 new grad + $500 Lexus IS 250/350
Monthly Payment: $363 with tax (Cali 9%) x 35 months
Took delivery yesterday on my 2015 Lexus IS 350 F sport, ML audio/navi, blind spot, tint windows, trunk net, floor mats, wheel locks.
What do you guys think? What could I have done better? What areas can I improve in for the next lease? Thanks again everyone!

Hi Guys, thanks in advance for your help. So I went to the dealer today armed with a screen shot of the above post. Here is what happened for an F-sport 350 with BSM and Nav.
Selling price negotiated down to $43,725, MF .00013 (Max MSDs) RV $31443. I was expecting monthly payment to be in the range of $350-370 but the guy quotes me at $470 per month. He tells me he entered the numbers into the computer and that's with it spit out. I say no thanks and get outta there. Any thoughts?

There is too much missing info in your post to be able to give you a meaningful answer. MSRP? Lease term and mileage? Tax rate? Total fees? Are you paying any cash at drive off?

There's a possible $3600 difference between your lease and the example you are trying to base it on. Compare the details of the two leases to see if you can find the differences. Two that I see are cash up front and college grad rebate - that's about $2k right there. Also, the sale price on your quote is almost $700 more. So $2700 difference equates to about $70 more a month on a 36 month lease.

MSRP is $49,100, 36 months 30,000 miles with a tax rate of 6.25%. No cap cost reduction but $2000 at drive off including 1st month/doc etc. The big difference I see is the rebates/incentives part. In fact my tax rate and MF are slightly lower. Maybe I should look into them giving any additional incentives? Thanks

Yes, there is something amiss here - your $2000 drive off offsets the other deal's grad rebate and $1000 drive off. With the lower tax rate, money factor and higher residual, your payment on this lease should be similar to the other lease. Also, the current incentive is $500 lease cash and complimentary first payment - you need to have them provide you a written, detailed rundown of the quoted lease figures so you can see where the differences are. There is something in their quote they seem to not be disclosing.

I agree with bgaerttner. I didn't sign or verbally agreed to anything until the "finance manager" put everything down in writing and explain every charge. I think they are messing with you somehow. If they can't justify the charge then tell them to remove it and refuse to pay for it.

thanks bgaerttner! he has kept this forum going and helping other members get great lease deals. His knowledge is greatly appreciated!

And that is one of the reasons you landed such a great deal. Too many dealers just throw something out there hoping an unsuspecting customer will just give in. There is nothing wrong with insisting they show you everything in black and white - after all, you are the one they will require to sign the paperwork.

Hey guys! SO after a month being on this forum, I still haven't seen someone who got a deal as good as mine, but I want to update you all with an awesome news. Well I didn't realize that the graduate rebate also included 2 year community college, which I just did graduate this year. I told them about it and they revised my contract and gave me an even better deal
So here is my final numbers now compared to last time:
MSRP $49,880
Adjusted Capitalized Cost/Selling Price: $42,990
Rebate: $1000 graduate + $500 lease= $1500
Term: 27months/10k
Residual: $34,980
Money Factor: .00001 (7 MSD's put down, total of $2450, which I will get all back at the end of lease)
Monthly Payment: $300/month !!
NO MONEY DUE AT SIGNING AT ALL
They paid for all my acquisition fee, doc fee, dealer fee, FIRST MONTH, etc.

YES THIS IS A MIRACLE AND I COULDN'tT BE ANY HAPPIER ANY DOLLAR COUNTS FOR ME

just a heads up when leasing a vechicle for the 27 month term you have to pay a full years worth of registration fees when ideally you will only be using the car for 3 more months.

2015 IS350 F-Sport RWD with nav, blind spot, and backup camera in Atomic Silver with Stratus Gray interior, in Atlanta area

I'm not 100% sure on the exact numbers but this is about what I came up with after fitting some of the numbers they gave me vs. the monthly payment

Term: 36mo / 12k
MSRP: $47,519
Negotiated Price: $42,000
MF: .00036 (base MF .001 - 8 MSDs at .00008 each = .00036)
Residual: 63% = $29,937
Rebates: $1,000 (recent grad) + $500 lease cash with complimentary first payment
Fees: $589 dealer doc fee, $700 acquisition fee, $38 tag + title
Tax: $1,630 -- trade-in value of $18,500 greatly reduced tax which is normally 7% on the entire negotiated price (I owed $18.5k on it so it was a wash on price). tax would've been almost $3k upfront without the trade.

Monthly Payment: $385/month including tax, $0 down, 8 MSDs @ $400 = $3200 due at signing which I'll get back at the end of the lease, first payment complimentary
