In the '14 IS? I heard it was a bit buggy in past models GS/LS (not sure which one) but i heard in IS, it helps handling...

guess they just decided not to include it on the AWD IS models.

and i am very happy with it, even my wife can tell the difference between s and s+ modes
No you don't! AWD GS F Sport does not have VRGS

The steering gets a bit stiffer but that's good considering the higher speeds I wouldn't want the wheel to be loose where I can easily lose control

Easiest way to tell is if you have power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel. They come together on the IS350 RWD.

Another poster said almost stiff to the point of locking so I wanted to check if that was true. That seems like safety issue if true.

Mine has it. Didn't even know until I just looked at the window sticker.

Mine has it. Neither me nor my salesman realized it had it until I got into the car when about to drive out the door with it and noticed I could adjust the steering electronically. It didn't seem to show up on the sticker for whatever reason. Not complaining!

I do really like it, too. Steering doesn't become too tough on the highway or in any situation, really. It just feels nice and solid.
