Is this even possible? Everywhere I see the 0-60 is rated at 5.7, has anyone got a better time? If so which mods if any, is it possible to make this car under 5 secs?

Fastest test time I've seen was Motor Trend. They got 5.3 out of their AWD 350 non F Sport. They got 5.6 out of their RWD F Sport. Which are you starting with?

The fastest time I've seen is 4.9, which I wouldn't doubt under the right conditions.

I recall someone mentioned swapping the 2IS diff into the 3IS? It has a shorter final drive.

Here you go:

That’s what F Sport is. Here’s what it does: Our long-term F Sport needed 5.6 seconds to hit 60 mph and 14.0 seconds flat to run the quarter-mile, trapping at 99.8 mph. You’ll note, though, that this is slower than the IS 350 AWD it replaced in the long-term fleet. That car, with its all-wheel-drive grip, got a much better launch and hit 60 mph in 5.3 seconds on the way to a 13.9-second quarter mile at 99.4 mph. The rear-wheel-drive F Sport had some trouble putting the power down, something I think better tires would’ve helped, perhaps Potenzas instead of Turanzas.

Two extra cylinders?

Seriously though, The most straightforward speed mod is weight reduction.

Get some 100oct unleaded, run it close to empty as possible. Empty the trunk, remove engine covers, Take out the back seats, stickier tires.

You may see sub 5 then.

engine covers in total weigh what, 2/3 lbs? going on a diet would lose more lbs than removing those covers.

i would recommend getting a different car.

This is hilarious. Lets take a sports sedan that's tuned for balance and make it into a slow racy sports sedan

If I wanted true speed, there are plenty of better options at $50k (Camaro SS, Mustang GT, M235, Used Vette). The new Q50 RS is a mid 4 second car around $50k too. We paid for the reliability and handling...speed was not an option for us

A Tune would probably get you to under 5 secs.
