How to clean dash?
Is it me, or is it the dash is extremely difficult to clean? I used meguires interior detail spray and all it does is leave nasty steaks and on some area, "dry spots" that looks dirty. Not sure what it is but some areas looks real dirty, but won't seem to shine up unless I use some armor all.

I've never liked the silicone products. Just makes everything too slick. I've never tried it, but IN A SMALL TEST AREA, you might try a cloth that has been soaked LIGHTLY in Murphy's oil soap, or maybe even mineral oil. I'm not saying do this because I know it will work. I do not know. I'm just saying that in an inconspicuous area, and going very lightly, this might be worth experimenting with. Another product that comes to mind is the spray-on, wipe-off plastic polish that is sold at motorcycle shops for cleaning the fairings. I recall that it is called plexus. It leaves a thin wax-like polish, very much like furniture polish. In fact, you might try a small amount of Pledge, but if you do, PUT THE PLEDGE ON THE CLOTH, LIGHTLY, AND DON'T SPRAY IT ON THE SURFACE AT ALL.

I've used the "armor all matte plastic wipes" and they do a decent job.
However I would probably recomend some APC (all purpose cleaner) and a damp cloth if you want to avoid any "stains" from interior finish products.

I went with Optimum Protectant Plus --- It's good on Leather, Vinyl and Rubber --- it maintains a clean matte finish. I applied it with a terry cloth pad and followed up with a wiped down of the dash, doors etc with a microfiber towel -- It's the only one that I found that leaves a small subtle new car scent similar to the scent in the new 2014 IS ..... unlike Meguiars M40 etc..
The 17oz Leather Protectant sprayer is the same Optimum Protectant Plus formula.
Here's a review of the product:

You may have the same problem we do. See https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...heir-dash.html

Clean, damp cloth has never let me down. The more cleaners and products you use, the dirtier your dash will become over time.
