Lexus installed recycled materials for the Door Panels and Dash in this Model Lexus - IS 350 (my current car) they don't have an 'official' recall but have replaced the melting Dash and Door Panels on most models. All have been replaced on my car except the driver side panel which is soft and falling apart. I have been # 2on the list for the door panel (they come in sporadically) for about 8 months. Getting frustrated with my dealer in Tampa Florida. Any ideas of who to contact at Lexus Corporate to push along? Thanks, Sandra

Sorry to hear that but it doesn't sound uncommon for replacement time.

Mine were replaced about a year ago. The door panels are shipped as a set of 4 in one crate at a time

That is odd, I have not heard of them replacing one panel at a time. At least they don't do that around here, they replace all 4 at once. That being said, the bad news is there really isn't much you can do about it. It's not your dealer's fault that parts aren't available and complaining to corporate will not get it done any faster, especially since you haven't been waiting near as long as most other people. Parts just aren't readily available, the dealer has no control over how many they get and there's tons of people inline in front of you all around the country. I got mine replaced last November, I had been on the waiting list since December 2014. That's how backed up Lexus is with this issue, and it doesn't only apply to the IS model.
