Stock exhaust - driver side exhaust tip hanging much lower than passenger side
All, I've been working a lot and it's been raining a lot and so I haven't had time to check it out yet. But, the other day, pulling into my driveway I noticed the driver's side exhaust tip on my '08 IS350 is hanging much lower than the passenger side exhaust tip. This is a stock exhaust and the car has maybe 67,500 miles on it. I haven't hit any potholes or driven on any rough roads so I'm not sure why this would have happened.
What parts are back there that could cause this? I know there is probably some sort of rubber hangar but I can't believe it would just break. I've replaced many exhaust systems and those things are always pretty stout unless they have a crap ton of miles on them.
Would anyone happen to have a picture of the parts used to hold up the mufflers in the back? I checked out mylparts.com and that helps some but sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.
Thanks!

There are two rubber hangers holding the muffler up, you can check them both out and see if they're fine. But, as far as I know, most 2IS's I've seen have the stock driver side muffler hang a tad bit lower than the passenger side. I've seen this on my own car, and it was even more pronounced when I was running an aftermarket exhaust for a bit before I went back to stock. For aftermarket exhausts, some people have had success tightening the bolts up slowly to get the mufflers to line up a little better, while others had no success at all (I was one of these people, I zip tied the exhaust hangar on the Tanabe I used to have to lift up the driver side a bit)

Thanks Zmon. I'm just going to have to wait for a dry day to put it up on the ramps and see if everything is ok. It's funny, on my other cars this wouldn't be an issue but on my IS350 I want it all to be perfect.

Yup I have the same problem. Was way more obvious once I had my tanabe installed. Aside from zmon's idea of zip ties, I'm thinking of buying brand new rubber hangers which may or may not solve the problem.

It's common on 2IS. I used zip ties on my aftermarket exhaust as well, like Zmon stated. I was able to get it even without them, but I think it looks better with the tips tucked up a little tighter into the bumper cutouts, so I put a large zip tie on each side to bring them up just a touch.

Though I didn't have one hanging lower than the other, I installed aftermarket exhaust hangers with a MUCH tougher durometer to help with the overall movement of the factory mufflers. I helped out ALOT! I can kick the mufflers now and they hardly move.
I believe these were the exact ones I purchased :

I wanted to finish this off because I hate open ended threads.
I completely forgot about this problem until today. So, I looked around and under the muffler and sure enough the muffler mount had popped off the rubber hanger
How it popped off I have no idea because it definitely wasn't easy to put back on. Looks like these will be something I double check with every oil change.
The exhaust tips are now even again.
